Kisoan

About Us

Welcome to Kisoan,
a family-run traditional (Japanese) "kaiseki" restaurant located
in Inazawa City, Aichi Prefecture.

With a history of 43 years as a chef, our owner trained at renowned restaurants in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto, including a Michelin two-star restaurant called "Sakurada" before opening Kisoan.

We take pride in using seasonal ingredients and sourcing them directly from trusted local producers. Our commitment to quality extends from the rich tea ceremony culture that is deeply ingrained here in the birthplace of Oda Nobunaga (a famous samurai patron of tea ceremony), where our establishment is located.

We also take pride in our commitment to sourcing Japanese sake from across the country, and offer a “Retreat Course” that allows you to learn about Japan's culinary culture.

Kisōan's Culinary Delights

At Kisoan, we specialize in kaiseki cuisine, which is one of the traditional dining styles in Japanese culinary culture.

We offer not only visible hospitality but also the opportunity to experience unseen hospitality through our courses. We place great importance on serving dishes as they are freshly prepared, ensuring that hot dishes are served piping hot and cold dishes are properly chilled.

In kaiseki cuisine, each dish and the order in which they are served hold significance. The dishes do not represent a difficult concept but rather are an invitation to enjoy the experience like a symphony, where a story unfolds.

Our culinary journey begins even before the first dish arrives, as we start with a comforting hot water to settle your stomach proceeding to the meal.
